Fans got a thrill when Hunter Boyett and Tim Irvin connected against Chaminade-Madonna. The connection went for 60 yards, the longest such play in 3A District 8 this season.
Westminster Christian's Irvin recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Lions last week. Irvin's team topped Chaminade-Madonna as he sprinted for 78 yards on the play and finished with 137 in all.
Westminster Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Boyett has thrown for 1,276 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Devonaire Clarington has 23 catches for 411 yards.
Westminster Christian moved up to 156 from 202 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Sedrick Irvin's team climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Lions 44-6.
