Football Recap: Petal Wins High-Profile Game Against Oak Grove + How To Watch

Petal faced Oak Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 28-21 win over the Warriors. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 24-21 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Oak Grove had strong showings from Kellen Hall, who threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns, and KJ Roberts, who picked up 120 receiving yards and three TDs.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Petal, bringing their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.5 points on average over those games. As for Oak Grove, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.
