Softball Recap: Bishop Fenwick Takes a Loss

Bishop Fenwick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chaminade Julienne Catholic Eagles. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Von Bargen Hadley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Hanna Thompson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Bishop Fenwick's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-6.

While Bishop Fenwick had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
