Baseball Recap: Borah Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Borah's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Timberline Wolves a 3-0 shutout. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Tate Kubena's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Borah is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Borah's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Gross, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Borah's record is now 9-15. As for Timberline, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Borah nor Timberline have any future games scheduled.
