Catholic Central has no trouble against Wellsville

The Catholic Central Crusaders lost to the Wellsville Tigers back in February, but the Catholic Central Crusaders didn't allow the Wellsville Tigers the same satisfaction on Saturday. Catholic Central put the hurt on Wellsville with a sharp 58-33 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Catholic Central has managed all season.

It was another big night for Tommy Pergi, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Bradley, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.

Catholic Central now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wellsville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will stay at home for another game and welcome Bishop Rosecrans at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th. Bishop Rosecrans is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.3 points per game. Wellsville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oak Glen at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Oak Glen and Wellsville are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
