Soccer Recap: Marian Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Marian kept a clean sheet against Bellevue East on Monday. They blew past the Chieftains 7-0. Marian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Bellevue East from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Zoey Ridder led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win (which was Marian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four games. As for Bellevue East, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marian will square off against rival Papillion-LaVista at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Bellevue East is set to challenge their familiar foe Omaha Northwest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
