Recap: Bath Fighting Bees vs. Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Bath Fighting Bees, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against Pewamo-Westphalia on Friday, falling 42-15. Bath's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Bath lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bradlee Uhlmann. Despite the final result, he gained 132 total yards and a touchdown. Uhlmann's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.
Bath's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Pewamo-Westphalia, their win was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Bath does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pewamo-Westphalia will head out on the road to face off against North Muskegon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (North Muskegon is ranked 82nd, while Pewamo-Westphalia is ranked 103rd).
