Recap: Seminole Seminoles vs. Apopka Blue Darters

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Seminole Seminoles walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 42-14 victory over the Blue Darters at home. Considering Seminole has won six games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Seminole's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karson Siqueiros-Lasky led the charge by throwing for 286 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Treyvin Clark was another key contributor, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

The win (which was Seminole's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points per game. As for Apopka, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Seminole will play host again and welcome Mandarin, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Mandarin: 17.3, Seminole: 15.4) so any points scored will be well earned. Apopka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
