Cox is 8-2 against Bayside since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Falcons will look to defend their home field against the Marlins at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Cox took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Kempsville 3-2.

Meanwhile, Bayside narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tallwood 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marlins.

The team relied heavily on Delsyn Csatlos, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. William ?Austin? Blakesley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Cox's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bayside, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Everything went Cox's way against Bayside in their previous meeting back in March, as Cox made off with a 12-1 victory. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marlins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
