With a playoff win on the line, Smith Valley rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mineral County Serpents, sneaking past 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Serpents: they've now won three in a row.
Luke Lannom made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Lannom was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
