Buchanan hasn't lost a match since January 10th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Central Grizzlies a 1-0 shutout. The Bears' winning goal came courtesy of Avery Schneider.

Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 14-1-6. As for Central, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buchanan will welcome Clovis West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buchanan's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Central, they will face off against Clovis North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clovis North has three straight wins, Central has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.
