Basketball Recap: Community Extends Winning Streak to Three

Community waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They managed a 62-56 win over the Rains Wildcats. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 70-36 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Community pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Rains, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community will be home for the holidays to greet Bonham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bonham is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. As for Rains, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Winnsboro at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Rains knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Winnsboro likes a good challenge.
