Volleyball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern and Grand Ledge squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Eastern had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Comets. The Quakers haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-8, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grand Ledge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Klopp, who had 14 assists and two aces. That's the most assists Klopp has posted over her last five matches.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 9-21-5. As for Grand Ledge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-15-2 record this season.

Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grand Ledge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against East Lansing on the 5th.
