Smackover has gone a perfect 5-0 against Horatio recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Buckaroos will head out to challenge the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Smackover took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Centerpoint with points to spare, taking the game 42-24.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Horatio beat Parkers Chapel 14-8 on Friday.

Smackover's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for Horatio, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Smackover against Horatio in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buckaroos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
