Softball Recap: Maria Carrillo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Analy last Thursday, Maria Carrillo came back down to earth. The Pumas fell just short of the Windsor Jaguars by a score of 14-13 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pumas in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost eight in a row.

Gabrielle Burk-Chavez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Olivia Bunyard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Maria Carrillo's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Windsor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Maria Carrillo nor Windsor have any future games scheduled.
