Soccer Recap: James River Takes a Loss

After soaring to six goals the game before, James River was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They came up short against the Nelson County Governors, falling 6-1. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but James River couldn't quite close it out.

James River's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Nelson County, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James River will host Carroll County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nelson County, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Galileo at 7:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
