Basketball Recap: Hagerstown Tigers vs. Jay County Patriots
Hagerstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jay County Patriots. The Tigers were probably out for revenge after losing 58-37 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Lawson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaagen Kendall, who went 6 for 15 en route to 15 points.
Hagerstown's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Jay County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hagerstown will head out to challenge Blue River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Blue River Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
