Soccer Game Preview: Saint Mary's vs. El Cerrito

The Saint Mary's Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the El Cerrito Gauchos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Mary's is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Saint Mary's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Moreau Catholic by a score of 2-0. Two seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Emiliano Ceron and Emmett Bates scored both of Saint Mary's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, El Cerrito made easy work of Leadership Public Schools Richmond last Friday and carried off a 6-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gauchos.

Saint Mary's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for El Cerrito, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went Saint Mary's way against El Cerrito in their previous matchup back in January, as Saint Mary's made off with a 4-1 win. Will Saint Mary's repeat their success, or does El Cerrito have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
