Softball Recap: Crowley Eagles vs. Gainesville Leopards
While Crowley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-15-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 15-6 margin over the Gainesville Leopards on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Kenzli Brooks was incredible, going a perfect4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Brooks is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stolen at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Anayah Walker-Small, who went a perfect2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
Crowley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gainesville only hit eight hits.
