Baseball Recap: Darlington Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Darlington and Marlboro County, and Marlboro County kept the tradition alive. The Falcons came up short against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 10-4. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ryder Morgan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Darlington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Marlboro County, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Darlington will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. Marlboro County will be paying especially close attention to the Falcons' match: after the Falcons face off against the Gators, they'll take on Marlboro County again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
