Basketball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Cary Academy

Wesleyan Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cary Academy Chargers on Tuesday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cary Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than McCoy Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Williams has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hudson Chang, who went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points and three steals.

The victory got Cary Academy back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Wesleyan Christian Academy will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Covenant Day at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cary Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Carolina Day at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
