Mt. Bethel Christian Academy wins going away against St. Francis

Recap: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles vs. St. Francis Knights

Even though the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles have not done well against the St. Francis Knights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy strolled past St. Francis with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mt. Bethel Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

St. Francis' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greg Howard, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Howard hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Javon Holt, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. As for St. Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 20th. Monsignor Donovan Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.8 points per game. As for St. Francis, they will head out on the road to take on Whitefield Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitefield Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 389th, while St. Francis is ranked 171st).
