Juniata Valley entered their tilt with Northern Bedford County on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Panthers. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by just one run.

Elijah Johns made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyler Spurlin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ryan Struble, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.
