Basketball Recap: Holliday Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bowie last Tuesday, Holliday came back down to earth. The Holliday Eagles took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Iowa Park Hawks. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 51-44.

Holliday's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Iowa Park, their victory bumped their record up to 11-18.

Holliday has already played their next contest, a 53-48 loss against Jacksboro on the 4th. As for Iowa Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-42 defeat against Vernon on the 4th.
