Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Lynx vs. Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat two weeks ago.

Jasmine Shields paced Lincoln's offense, picking up four kills. Shields got some help from Kamryn Hamilton and her five assists. Kaybree Blair controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Bishop Heelan Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lincoln and Bishop Heelan Catholic will both be playing Sioux City East the next time they take the court. The Lynx will head out to face the Black Raiders at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Crusaders will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
