Baseball Recap: Lansdowne Comes Up Short

Lansdowne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Severn Run Wolves, falling 9-3.

Lansdowne saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Lambert, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The Vikings are 2-1 when Lambert posts two or more stolen bases, but 0-4-1 otherwise. Tyler Umstead also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Lansdowne's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Severn Run, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Lansdowne will take on St. John's Catholic Prep in a tournament on Thursday. As for Severn Run, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Glen Burnie at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
