Union Local is 9-1 against Bellaire since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Union Local Jets will face off against the Bellaire Big Reds at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Union Local sitting on four straight victories and Bellaire on seven.

Last Monday, Union Local made easy work of Barnesville and carried off a 38-17 win. The Jets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Bellaire was able to grind out a solid victory over Barnesville on Monday, taking the game 43-36. Given the Big Reds' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Shamrocks are ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Union Local pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.2 points. As for Bellaire, their record is now 8-1.

Union Local came out on top in a nail-biter against Bellaire when the teams last played on December 2nd, sneaking past 40-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union Local since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
