Katy Taylor's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Cinco Ranch with a sharp 12-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Ariana Hughes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Hughes was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Jordan Talbert was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Alyssa Sharrock was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Morton Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Jordan, falling 15-0.

The victory made it two in a row for Katy Taylor and bumps their season record up to 14-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Morton Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Katy Taylor took their victory against Morton Ranch in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 17-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Katy Taylor since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
