Softball Preview: Le Grand Bulldogs vs. Ripon Christian Knights        
        
		
            
 After two games on the road, Le Grand is heading back home. After both having extra time off, they and the Ripon Christian Knights will dust off their jerseys to  square off against  one another  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Le Grand is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.8  runs per game this season.
 Le Grand can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent  game  last Thursday. They never let Waterford onto the board and left with  an   11-0  win.
  Nadia Avila made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Avila has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  a single  walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. Avila was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Haiden Priddell was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Ava Avila was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Ripon Christian fell victim to a  rough 21-7 defeat at the hands of Mariposa County  last Thursday. Ripon Christian has struggled against Mariposa County recently, as their  match last Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
  Alanna Blanco and  Ally Brown did some serious damage despite the final result:  Blanco  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Brown  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Le Grand pushed their record up to 10-2-2 with that  victory, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs per game. As for Ripon Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
 Le Grand took their  win against Ripon Christian  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  7-0. Does  Le Grand have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ripon Christian turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
