Holdrege came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Wood River Eagles 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Dusters, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Holdrege was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-11.

Gracie Johnson paced Holdrege's offense, picking up 14 kills. Johnson got some help from Addy Stutzman and her 27 assists. Carson Sundquist controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Holdrege's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Wood River, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Holdrege has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against McCook on the 27th. As for Wood River, they will be taking part in a tournament against Superior at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
