Softball Recap: Hannah Wells' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bandera over Navarro

Bandera had lost 13 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 3-19 to make it 14. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Navarro Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in March.

Bandera saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Wells, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

As for Navarro, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14-1. The match marked their most dominant win of the season.

On Navarro's side, Sarah Falor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Falor was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ally Antista was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Kennedy Seek was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Bandera has already played their next contest, a 17-2 loss against Davenport on the 15th. As for Navarro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-9 victory against Wimberley on the 15th.
