Basketball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Salem can now relate to. They took a blow against the West Tallahatchie Choctaws on Monday, falling 62-26.

Leading West Tallahatchie to victory were Mi'Kenzi Christian and Kydresha Washington. Christian dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 boards, while Washington posted 16 points and six steals. Christian's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyneesha Washington, who had four points and three steals.

Salem has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for West Tallahatchie, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Salem nor West Tallahatchie have any future games scheduled.
