            Baseball Recap: Mt. Hope Huskies vs. Portsmouth Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Mt. Hope took a six-run  loss the last time they faced off against Portsmouth, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Patriots  5-4. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

  Trace Dubois was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. Mt. Hope is 2-1 when  Dubois posts two or  more  runs, but 1-14 otherwise.  Jacob Ferreira was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
Mt. Hope's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Portsmouth, their record now sits at 6-10.
 Coincidentally, Mt. Hope and Portsmouth will both be playing Moses Brown the next time they take the field. The Patriots will head out to face the Quakers at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday, while the Huskies will head out to face them  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
