Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chapel Hill's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Hughes Springs Mustangs on Tuesday. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Hughes Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Chapel Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Daingerfield at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Chapel Hill is facing Daingerfield at the right time seeing as Daingerfield is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Hughes Springs, they will head out on the road to take on Harmony at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harmony has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Hughes Springs will come in with seven straight wins.
