Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Pleasant vs. Leigh

The Mt. Pleasant Cardinals will take on the Leigh Longhorns at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Mt. Pleasant turned things around against Pioneer on Thursday. Neither they nor the Mustangs could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result was nothing new for Mt. Pleasant as the squad haven't won a game since December 18, 2025.

Meanwhile, Leigh's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Del Mar, sneaking past 2-1. Given Leigh's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Del Mar are ranked 319th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mt. Pleasant's draw makes their record 3-11-2 this season. As for Leigh, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
