Football Game Preview: Beaufort Eagles vs. Bluffton Bobcats

For the first time this season, Beaufort will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the Bluffton Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Beaufort, who comes in off a win.

Beaufort's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-0 victory over Battery Creek. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Dolphins recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Bluffton came up short against Hilton Head Island on Friday and fell 38-28. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Beaufort will have to contain Aedan McCarthy as he made an impact in Bluffton's last game. He rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 123 yards and a pair of TDs. McCarthy's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.

Beaufort picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Bluffton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Beaufort couldn't quite get it done against Bluffton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 42-35. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
