Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kennedy). They came out on top against the Wilby Wildcats by a score of 73-65 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Kennedy's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Wilby, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ansonia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilby, they will venture away from home to square off against Crosby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Crosby's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
