Burlington Christian Academy and Salem Christian School squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Burlington Christian Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Defenders, falling 3-0. The Royals' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

While Burlington Christian Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Salem Christian School's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Burlington Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ali Moldt had 14 assists and two aces. Moldt is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Burlington Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Salem Christian School, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 7-10 record.

Burlington Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salem Christian School, they will take on Caldwell Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
