Softball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 18-8 to the Medicine Lodge Indians. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-2 defeat on Monday.

Chaparral saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Harding, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were Harding's first of the season.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Medicine Lodge, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Chaparral will face off against Kingman/Norwich at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Roadrunners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Medicine Lodge, they will venture away from home to square off against Douglass at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
