Baseball Recap: Nashua South Purple Panthers vs. Salem Blue Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Goffstown, Nashua South was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Salem Blue Devils. The win was some much needed relief for the Purple Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Max Demers made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Demers was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Nashua South got a massive performance out of Kosay Tanaka, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. The Purple Panthers are 3-1 when Tanaka posts two or more runs, but 0-8 otherwise. Gus Smiley was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Nashua South's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
