Football Game Preview: Coolidge Colts vs. Jackson-Reed Tigers + How To Watch

The Coolidge Colts will venture away from home to square off against the Jackson-Reed Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Coolidge will be strutting in after a victory while Jackson-Reed will be coming in after a defeat.

Coolidge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Woodson, who was ranked 15th at the time (Coolidge was ranked eighth). The Colts breezed past the Warriors to the tune of 52-0 on Saturday. That 52 point margin sets a new team best for the Colts this season.

Coolidge's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Jumah Byrd and Jabreem Harvey, who racked up four sacks between them. Coolidge is 2-1 when Byrd posts one or more sacks, but 2-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Reed lost 35-13 to Roosevelt on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled against the Roughriders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Jackson-Reed's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Coolidge, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coolidge was able to grind out a solid victory over Jackson-Reed in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 22-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
