            Softball Preview: Highland Park Hornets vs. Gruver Greyhounds        
        
		
        
        
            The Highland Park Hornets will challenge the Gruver Greyhounds at 11:00  a.m.  on Tuesday. Highland Park will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last.
Highland Park lost  18-12 to Sunray on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  two weeks ago (11), the Hornets still had to take the loss.

 Kaitlin Lucas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned  (and 12 unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. As a matter of fact, that's the most  runs  she has scored all season.
 On the hitting side, Highland Park got a big performance out of  Haley Rogers, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most  runs  Rogers has posted since back in February.  J'Niyah Hearn also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Even though they lost, Highland Park  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Gruver was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Lubbock Christian, falling  10-1.
 Highland Park dropped their record down to 3-10-1 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  at home. As for Gruver, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
