Baseball Recap: Benton Central Comes Up Short

Benton Central's last matchup with West Lafayette could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Bison lost 8-0 to the Red Devils. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bison's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Benton Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for West Lafayette, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

While Benton Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
