Football Recap: Macain Underwood and Ryan Roberts Pace Upper Scioto Valley Defense

Upper Scioto Valley was the 38-8 winner over Ridgedale when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams took a 38-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Upper Scioto Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of MacAin Underwood and Ryan Roberts. Underwood is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Ayden Salyer had another great game (as he tends to do), picking up 130 receiving yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 30 yards and one score for Ridgedale. Those 130 receiving yards gave Salyer a new career-high.

Upper Scioto Valley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ridgedale, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Upper Scioto Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 36-34 victory against Ridgemont on the 26th. As for Ridgedale, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-0 win against Hardin Northern on the 26th.
