Volleyball Recap: Bonita Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bonita was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Diamond Bar Brahmas, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Bearcats seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-13.

Bonita's offense was headlined by Elle Howie and Sara Yeats, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Cassidy Howard and her 11 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Diamond Bar can attribute much of their success to Ava Furumoto, who had ten digs and four assists. Furumoto has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Bonita's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Diamond Bar, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Bonita has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Claremont on the 6th. As for Diamond Bar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Glendora on the 6th.
