It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Indian Valley Braves can now relate to. They fell 42-35 to Steubenville on Friday. Indian Valley's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Indian Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Grady Kinsey. Despite the final result, he rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Kinsey hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Kolton Thomas also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Indian Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Steubenville, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 12-1 record.
Indian Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Steubenville will be playing at home against Sheridan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Sheridan is ranked 58th, while Steubenville is ranked 41st).
