Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Screven County + How To Watch

McIntosh County Academy came into Friday's game looking for another win against Screven County, but AB Hilton wouldn't allow it. The Gamecocks blew past the Buccaneers 27-0 on Friday with plenty of help from Hilton, who rushed for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per carry. Hilton is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.

One reason for the win was Screven County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Breylon Daniels, Andre Michaud, and Tony Ball, who each picked up one sack apiece. Daniels was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory keeps Screven County at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 31.3 points this season. As for McIntosh County Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Screven County and McIntosh County Academy will both be playing Jenkins County the next time they take the field. The Gamecocks will host the War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Buccaneers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
