Softball Recap: Richland Northeast Takes a Loss

Richland Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 21-4 to the Lancaster Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Tuesday.

Richland Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lancaster, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland Northeast will take on York at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lancaster, they will challenge Blythewood at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Blythewood 2.8, Lancaster 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
