After losing to Portville the last time they met, Ellicottville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Ellicottville Eagles came out on top against the Portville Panthers by a score of 50-41 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Ellicottville found their leader in sophomore Blake Smith, who went 9-for-14 on his way to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Smith, who posted 11 points.

Ellicottville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 22 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Ellicottville's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Portville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Coming up, Ellicottville will host Forestville Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Portville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
