Volleyball Recap: Clearfield Beats Northridge for Their Second Straight Victory

If Northridge wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Clearfield, they should've done a better job of containing Nathan Toone. The Clearfield Falcons blew past the Northridge Knights 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Toone, who had seven digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (two).

One reason for the win was Clearfield's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-12.

The win made it two in a row for Clearfield and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Northridge, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearfield will welcome Box Elder at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Box Elder will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Clearfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northridge, they will square off against Bountiful at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
